Swaminarayan Akshardham (New Delhi) is a Hindu temple, and a spiritual-cultural campus in New Delhi, India. This temple is close to the border with Noida. Also referred to as the Akshardham or Akshardham Delhi temple, the complex features thousands of years of traditional and modern Hindu culture, spirituality, and architecture. Inspired by Yogiji Maharaj and created by Swami Maharaj Pramukh, it was built by BAPS.

The temple was officially opened on November 6, 2005, by Swami Maharaj Pramukh before Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, Manmohan Singh, L.K Advani, and B.L Joshi.

In Swaminarayan Akshardham New Delhi, similar to its predecessor Swaminarayan Akshardham in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, the main temple is the focal point and maintains the central position of the entire complex. There are various exhibition halls that provide information about Swaminarayan’s life and work. Complex designers have adopted communication capital and contemporary technology to create various exhibition halls.

‘Swagatam’ – Welcome! On-campus, you will be welcomed by Gates welcome to be followed by Bhakti Dwar. Passing through the visitor center, you can stop by to find help from volunteers to plan your visit or get a print guidebook. Enjoy complicated Dwar Mayur carvings and make desires in Charanarvind – holy trail.

Mandir

Offer your prayers to gods in Garbhagruh, blessed by mandapam ceilings – carved. At first, level, walk outside through Narayan Peeth – bronze assistance work. On the outer wall on the ground, walking with elephants and experiencing their stories at Gajendra Peeth.

Abhishek mandap

This exhibition consists of three parts: Sahajanand Darshan – Hall of Value; Neelkanth Darshan – big format film; Sanskruti Darshan – Boat Boat Travel.

Akshardham

A new world record was presented to Akshardham for being the largest integrated Hindu temple in the world (certificate). The architecture of the World’s Largest Hindu Temple is composed of 234 pillars, nine shining domes, 20 quadratic towers, and more than 20000 figures representing themes of Indian mythology. The Akshardham Temples, built in Gandhinagar and New Delhi, are considered to be India’s largest temple complex.

The Swaminarayan Temple in Atlanta, built by the BAPS, is considered the largest Hindu temple outside of the Indian Subcontinent. The temple complex covers an area of 12 hectares and includes the largest Hindu temple in the world itself, multiple parks, a museum, a large cultural center, where people can learn about Indian traditions and customs, a water canal that can be crossed with boats, and many coffee shops and souvenir shops. The main temple, standing at 141.13 feet tall, 316 feet wide, and 356 feet long, is composed of 234 pillars that are intricately carved, nine decorated domes, 20 rounded pinnacles, and more than 20,000 sculptures of the gods that are worshipped in the Hindu dharma. The complex, called the Akshardham temple or Akshardham of Delhi, displays thousands of years of Hindu traditional and modern culture, spirituality, and architecture.

Built by Pramukh Swamy Maharaj, Akshardham Temple in Robbinsville, NJ is dedicated to Swaminarayan. The late president wrote a book about his spiritual experiences with Pramukh Swami, and while serving as president, he inaugurated the Akshardham Temple Complex in New Delhi. It is difficult to get a sense of spirituality at the Swaminarayan Akshardham, and while it is still used as a religious venue, the security is strict, and it is frequently overrun by tourists. Based on the Hindu tradition (Shilpa shastra) for building architecture for the longest possible life span of the temple, Akshardham Mandir makes no use of any iron or steel.
